After I shared a post on the 50/30/20 rule on my Instagram profile, I received quite a few responses.
Here are a couple of them:

I want to take this chance to assure you that the 50/30/20 rule is really just a guide.
How much an individual earns is largely tied to the industry(s) they are in. Similarly, how much one spends is often not just limited to their personal expenses. Some may need to help out at home etc.
But I am heartened to know that putting aside money for rainy days is a very conscious thing that many of you think about.
Perhaps like me, you also realise there will be a day we will have to stop working. And for those who took the time to sort out their finances early, they will be in a privileged position to decide WHEN they can do so, on their own terms.
